Stock 360 cam specs?

-
Hi, if the motor is an HP engine as in Little Red Express truck or Cop car (4BBL) it would be the same specs as a 340. I understood the cam specs were the same, 340-360 HP engine. If a 2BBL, then just a regular plain Jane cam spec.

4BBL is a different cam...

.430/.444 - 268/276 cam#4041998

Looks like it's the same as the early 340 cam.

I believe this is a hotter version of the stock 340 cam. The stock cam is 268/276 advertised, 210/220 @.050", 429/444 lift, 114 lsa IIRC.

The P4041998AE specs at 268/276 advertised, 228/235 @.050", 429/444 lift, 114 lsa.

The '68 manual trans cam is different.

Mopar Performance has changed the info on the @ .050" numbers over the years. I read somewhere they used to measure them differently than everyone else. Who knows...

1st pic is from a 2005 MP catalog. 2nd pic is the paperwork that came with my cam recently.

Mopar Performance has changed their 268/276 cam lobe design for increased .050" lift over the years.

Those numbers I posted match numbers the stock 340 cam in my '71 Cuda and '73 Duster had at .050" according to my notes.

BTW, the '68 340 with manual trans. was .444/.453 lift .276/.284 duration.

Ask a stock or super stock racer they should know.

The 228/235 number for that cam is a pipe dream.

The specs for a stock replacement “2bbl” cam are:
Clevite 229-1663
SAE duration 278/278, duration @.050 203/203, .410/.410, 109.5lsa.

SAE duration is .006 divided by the rocker ratio, so .004 in this case.
