Stock breather question

Does this breather have any kind of retainer inside the rocker cover or just pull out?....don't want to break anything. If it's just pull out it is real tight.

Just friction fit in a grommet. If the engine has been run HOT the rubber might be real tight or even break if you yank it out.

Work some WD40 down in the grommet and twist the breather back and forth. It'll come out eventually.

The rubber groment gets hard as a rock over the years. I found a replacement in the "Help" line at the local auto parts store.
