Stock Market

I think it’s Yahoo Finance that my IOS graphics are based on. Those and the news. In the case of MARA i actioned on the 11/18 dip and the Bitcoin rally. I’m in and out quick though. I watch for slack or a wobble and my 3% bump and I’ll leave!

Do you think a chart like this would help you enter and exit ?
This is actually an excellent day trader stock. We could "scalp" quite a few $$ off a mover like this.
Stock only goes up a coupla bucks total, but buy/selleach line cross (sorta) be signal in or out.
It's not that easy, but would chart help ?

What happened to recession a bunch of people were calling for a couple years ago? Shoot, the last couple of years has been the best stretch my accounts have ever seen.

Kinda reminds me of the old dude standing on a Main Street corner in a long raincoat, sunny day, holding a sign saying . .

World Ends At Noon . . .

It would be really weird to find someone in A Bodies that would not be interested in a better tool, No?
Everything helps.
I’m curious about your experience’s between then and now regarding how different the market reacts with so many non institutional investors in the mix?

JMO Non institutional/retail are still a school of minnows in shark infested waters. One of the biggest change has been the adoption of options strategies and the delta hedging required by Market Makers to remain delta neutral. Look at what happens when the reddit apes get going on AMC/GME, etc and gamma squeeze the market makers using options.

Things done years ago get traders in big trouble mostly because of the trading range of the market. 30 years ago, a decent days range on the NQ futures 50 points, an outlier was a 100 point day. Now those ranges can occur can happen in 15 minutes or less. Range on the NQ is in the 300+ points per day. One NQ contract in that hi-lo range = 6K+ in potential loss or profit.

As I've said many many times, do you really think they are going to let you keep it. Invest wisely.

My largest holding pays it's quarterly $516 dividend in a couple of days.

That always makes me smile.

Another will pay $384 next month.

Not a terrible "second job", just sitting and watching.

I use Yahoo finance on my Android tablet mosta the time (recliner), so you should be able to do something similar.
Pull up a chart of whatever stock MARA prob good.
Find and turn on streaming quotes.
Choose 1 day, 1 minute, style candles stick ( more later )
Find indicators, choose Moving Average, period 3, type select "exponential", offset 2, color green, done.
Then select Moving average again, for the second red line, same as above, period 13, exponential, offset 2, color red done.

Hopefully you get a chart like this, then trim it down to the size you can use, you prob only need last 10 - 15 mins to watch candle sticks and trend. One of these charts may be more suitable, play with them, 3 and 13 are speed control ( magic Fibonacci numbers ).
I liberally use the lines crossing as guideline triggers in/out.
If the lines are diverging or parallel, no worries, closer lines get converging, pay attn, lines cross - take action.
Check out the use and formation of candlesticks and guidance/story they may tell.
Be very careful, this is loosely my style .
Any trade you make, that decision is yours and yours alone, when in doubt, get out.

These setting work for any timeframe, good for IRA, Mutual Funds, etc

Crackedback filled in mosta the newer stuff, and options work for many.
I'm a chartist, and my style is "scalping".
I had a basket of familiar stocks that'd move big daily.
I'd scalp 25¢ off anything moving times 1000 shares = $250 less $30 each way to the broker, X 4 daily.
My time began when trading was done in 1/16 of a dollar, no dollars and cents, traded in "teenies" no decimals !
Try figuring how many shares you can buy in 1/16ths, lol
Was gunslinger style, against other traders with "instant execution" platforms. Dial up was most internet, I had a T1? Line brought in.
Each broker had a Market Maker to control price, when he went to lunch could be very lucrative.
I lost $10kish 3 times before I found a place to really "learn" link below.
That was old style, like me, - my version of "skeet" every morning. Still is come to think of it .lol

If you really want to learn, try here, they had a free trial period.
Lotta really great people, lotsa trading styles.
Gotta admit, haven't been there in a few years, I may be in one of the convention pix in Vegas or NY.
Cheers

Vistra is 5% down right now! Wish I would’ve retained some buying power. Course, it’s still 13% up from a week ago, so it may drop lower

Yahoo charts aren't working for me this morning, banner says they're working on it.
So
If you're trying to get those charts working, it's not you, it's yahoo.

VST will be a long story, they are helping supply power to these Data Servers that need huge power, and working with OKLO making Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), garage size Reactors to build on-site with Data Centers.

Depends on what you are trying to achieve, quick $$$ or long term investments.

Thanks for sharing your experience! There’s a pile of gold nuggets in this…

Keep in mind, losses were part of the experience.
Be prepared to readily accept you made a mistake, keep an open mind, as info changes so should your mind/opinion.
If you find yourself wishing a stock would turn around, you're late getting out.
Re-entry is $9? .
Try charts next week, mine are all fkd up, Canadian yahoo usually pretty reliable, not today .
Have good weekend.

I pay $3.5 a month and a few pennies per IF I sell thousands of shares. Which has only happened a couple times.
At the grocery store now watching for a sub $140 dip just now

Happy Hunting
