Stock tire diameter/size?

Just courious, what is the stock tire size? On the 14 inch rim. I bought some 17x8 and want to know what size tires I can choose from. TIA
 
ok, so a 255/40/17 is about the same diameter........not sure how wide that is. the rim is 17x8. is that tire wide enough for the rim? too wide?
 
Little over 10 inches wide. Should be good on a 8' wheel.

Just so you know 255 is the tread width in milimeters. There is 25.4 milimeters in an inch so all you have to do is devide the 255 buy 25.4 to fid out how wide it is.
 
so that on the back, right? how about the front or would that be good all around?
 
With the right BS that will fit the rear real good. To wide for the front. Don't thin you can go much wider than 235 on the front. Not to sure some one will chime in who knows.
 
so 255/40/17 rear and 235/40/17 front?
 
ok Im home and was wondering about the backspacing..........strait edge on the back of the rim and it measures 6"?????? are these gonna work? spacers?
