Stop in for a cup of coffee

I built a frame out of very stout angle iron with a lift off top with 2 pad locks on opposite corners and through bolted it down in the service truck. That was for the personal tools. Company tools resided in the easy to pry open service body boxes.

On serious note, and at this point that is a stretch. I never saw the point of locking mine when the torch kit is sitting beside it! Just a simple lock to keep, the honest boys honest.
Leave it unlocked and wire a flash bang inside the lid with a hidden kill switch. The first person that opens it will never go near another toolbox in their life!

But then again. Outfit I was working for was doing the Century Freeway that leads to LAX. Mechanic went on vacation left his company truck and tools in the company yard on the job with security. Truck disappeared in broad daylight from the yard on a work day :wtf:. If they want it bad enough, they will get it.

A small motivational victory this week that I thought I would share.

When I first started on my weight loss plan 16 months ago, I purchased 5 new pairs of pants 4” smaller in waist size that were flat front and without the comfort fit waistband that gives an inch when bending over like I was wearing at the time. That’s like going down 6” in waist size.

When I got them, I tried them on and could hardly pull them up halfway past my knees. I knew it would be a long time before I could fit into them but hung them in my closet for motivation.

On Saturday morning, I decided to see if I could get into them.

They fit great! Not even a little snug! Woohoo!

Wearing non pleated pants again without a comfort band makes me feel like a whole new person. It feels like years of accepting being that size have melted away and I am approaching normal again.

I promptly bought a half dozen dress shirts 3 sizes smaller than I am now and hung them in the closet to inspire me to fit into them eventually too. :)

Some shops the techs have to lock drawers every time they walk away from their bay.
I read that in some places its a real problem.
I find it difficult to believe.
I had to start locking my toolbox at the shop i worked at here in town, boss and his buddys would play in the shop after hours.

Found my 3/4” ratchet stuck in a 6 foot pipe leaning in the corner.

And many occasions my tools left on a bench.
Caught the boss walking over to bench grinder with my 2-3/8” socket. It wouldnt fit in a bore to remove an axle nut. I flipped out on him. Had he asked, i might have let him. No, probably not. I felt the need to be the asshole that time.

Took the 3/4 set home and locked the box, even when i went for lunch.

I just need more vitamin C. You wonder why we love this site! My pix is perhaps a half a bubble of plumb but hey, it has been a long afternoon!

Thanks! It still amazes me that I have have lost 39 lbs and feel so much better now. It will be two more years to hit my goal...but if I am going to be 2 years older anyway, so I might as well be thinner when I get there!

Very impressive. I'm needing to lose about 140 pounds myself. Weight loss can be so expensive...
