Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was thinkin' yesterday after seeing Leah Pruett's fueler come apart. In the late 80s when National Dragster was on my weekly reading list chassis builders were using a slip-joint type device in the top rails of the AA and BB dragsters. Let the bottom rails carry the weight and let the top flex like crazy. Made me wonder if that was the culprit in that crash.

Held together with worm style hose clamps! LOL (probably so, not kidding)

When I was desert racing we made the trek to lovely Jean Nevada to run a pit for 4 or 5 of our racing buddies. They all made the first pass by us and we waited and watched. All but one of them make the 2nd lap :wtf: where's Mel? Little while later here comes that car and it is thrashed. Buggy stops in our pit and Mel is not driving Eddie is. Mel had barrel rolled the buggy. It finally came to rest on it's lid. Mel being dazed and confused grabs the release on the quick release harness and without supporting himself with one hand pulls the release and he bashes his head into the roof . Either the crash or the abrupt release of the belts gave Mel a concussion. Crash was close enough to the start finish they were able to go fetch him and care for him and get the racer back in the race with Eddie at the wheel.

After and before photos of Jean Nevada. I think it's called Primm Nevada now. It had one little casino "Pop's Oasis", a delightful place, we called it "Crappy Pappy's"

I had one in my right calf this morning. :BangHead: At least those I can usually stretch out if I can get my foot against something. It's the ones in my thighs that are killers. Have only had a few of those this year. Used to be a regular thing when I was on Lipitor. Last time was about 3am Sunday after returning from Carlisle. Both thighs at once. Holy Fk they hurt! And I have yet to find anything to stop it. Just wait it out - and they can easily last several minutes.
Crestor, dropped it about 2 months ago, for this reason. But the last couple weeks have been pretty much unbearable. Like a hot knife in the leg, right to the bone. It makes for a long day. Engine bay on this lifted diesel is like 5 feet up,a lot of climbing and its not easy. And i had to fix my overhead door last week, many trips up a ladder. Doesent help.

Did a few finishing touches to the wood work. Few more sips of coffee and I'll go paint.
One word for you Keith, Airless..................well two, sprayer..........Come on over, you can borrow mine.......

Spray painted a shed one time. 100 feet away cars got overspray. What did i know, boss said here, spray paint this. I wanted to roll it, he insisted i spray. His wifes brand new mustang got speckled pretty good. And i was covered in it too. Only thing that took it off was fast orange hand cleaner. Ok on the hands, but burns on face and scalp!

F250 is waiting for parts, think i will go put a few things into storage, boats are showing up.

Have one. Didn't use it. Even if you spray it, still have to brush the bead lines up and down. 3 inch brush got it done fast enough. And a whole lot easier set up and clean up.

That paint was great! One coat and I don't see any skips yet even in the grooves. Behr barn and Fence paint from HD. I might get some trim boards on before winter. At least around the window. Will need one across the top on back and down the corner. Also need to screen in the eaves. Plan to do the other side in the Spring. So, might wait and do all the trim at once. I might pressure wash the front and get a coat of paint on that soon. Will probably re-do that eventually, but will take a lot more time if I build new doors...
