Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wow one of the rare times lately we are cheaper! Around here, there’s a local farm store that sells it for 12 bucks a refill of a 20lb tank, 21 for a 40 lb rank and 55 for a 100 lbs
You're saying to refill yours. I think that 19.99 is to exchange. So about same all around. Just some are saying they don't have any available for refilling.

Ahhh I’m not sure what our exchange prices are. Been a while since I’ve exchanged one.

Unless none of the refill guys are open, I only do exchanges when I have a cylinder near test date or looking a bit ratty. :D

Just linked him. Chris a few old tires will hold it in a truck bed for a move, and no wheels to roll around either.

Hey getting back to Anders pistons before I call Edge and *****. What is the side play on the piston to the bore? Clearance, I guess?

A buddy has a portable waste oil burner. He paid 1000 for it. Isnt using it. I may make a deal on it, and start saving my oil for heating. If i get a free month of heat, 3 years its paid for. I think i would only accumulate enough oil to heat for a month.added bonus, i wouldnt have to haul the oil away.

Almost got valve cover exposed. Another hour maybe?
Keep on hammerin…

A lot of those around here. Either burn it or pay to have it hauled away. They can be a turd to maintain but when they work good they are quite efficient. They are noisy bur just because of the combustion fan. You know the drill, it's like a forge to add oxygen to the fire.

Hey all. I use propane to heat here. And stove top. Everything else solar electric. Still pay a fortune for heating. And I'm in So Cal!!! Can't imagine where you guys are.

I keep the house at 61° Electric bill is about $100 month

Propane is just for the cook stove.

Is that the '66?
Yes.

Thanks!

Problem is, once I get it out of the truck bed, I’ll need to be able to roll it into the storage unit.
I made a wood cradle, Screwed together, then made a rolling support for it. I will find picture. Works great...

morning, snowing and 25deg here. Chris, get a moving dolly, works good for big blocks. Propane here is $1.99 gallon, check your local welding supply, or feed store. The local grain elevator here fills the house tanks around here so when I have and empty tank and they are filling our home tank, I just set them outside and they fill them.

The insulation is why I didn't put one in already. Before insulating, I have to change a bunch of the wiring the previous person did. It is on the face of the studs instead of in between them. Once that is swapped and insulated, then I can worry about the heat. It is a 3 car garage - not a shop per se. If the furnace works, then it will be more than enough - I used the same set up in my old shop/garage and it was amazing. NG prices are going up here too, but still cheaper than propane.
If it's attached, can you run a heater ducked to the garage from your house furnace?
