Stop in for a cup of coffee

true enough - guess it depends on what the REST of the day looks like - is twice the $$ worth being away everyday for over 12hrs? (assuming you have a regular 8 at work..)
thats my issue......

80mi. is a long one way commute... I can say this, --no kids here and I still wouldn't do it
Kids are all grown and out of the house. I've been working 12 to 14 hrs a day for the last 2 months plus Saturdays and even a couple Sundays. Thank goodness, I think we're through with all that crap now. It ain't worth it to give up 'life' chasing the dollar.. Or in my case on salary where you don't get squat for the extra time.

I hear that - I do an occasional extra shift, they are almost always 8hrs., the ching is good, but I have gotten to the point that I would much rather be home - by a long shot!

I ain't done any substantial work on any of my cars since this **** began. I really miss it...

one of many reasons - I can't tell you how many perfect afternoons I have missed over the years because I took an OT shift... ya gotta weigh it out and decide what's more important - at this point in my life -- can it wait? sure, of course it can. Do I WANT it to wait? no, no I don't - I am sick of %$*@# waiting..

I feel the same lately...this summer I can't muster the desire to work extra. Just being there feels soul-crushing (sometimes.) It's like management's bigger priority to make us feel unhappy and unimportant than to run a successful business. On a lighter note I'm off today and there are like 8 different kinds of baby birds all playing just a few feet outside my window right now.

and if you had to work - you'd have missed that! hey, we all gotta do something-(usually work) - it just gets to be too much sometimes... "bite me, I'm going home". :D

Am I going to have to move this thread to the Blue Forum? LOL
