Stop in for a cup of coffee

Some *** clown shot out the back window of my son's pick up that was parked on the street. Waiting for the cops to show up so I can file a report. That'll cost a couple hundred I suppose.
damn, that sucks. Back windows for a p-up can be pricey

The officer just left. No other issues in the neighborhood. Probably just a bb gun. No other holes and no bullets inside the truck. It is a slider and is the drivers side glass. I'll just get another and put it in. I better go clean up the mess. Will be back later.

wait, what happened?

First day, on the way up I stopped at a rest stop. Found the left rear tire on the U haul flat. Went and found some air for it. Noticed a foreign object in it but didn't pull it out since I had no plug kit, And I was already half way to Carlisle.

Murphy..

Sooo... I call U haul on Friday since they are responsible to fix it. They call me back after they GPS me and say, their techs/contractors are not allowed to do work on the Fairgrounds. Liability issue.
Sooo. I found a neighbor with a plug kit , and another with a full air tank, and plugged it myself.

anything to get out of it huh - so typical.. I mean WTF is the difference WHERE

Sooo, On Thursday, before I could stake down my BRAND NEW EZ up shade tent, It lifted off and on to my Ram Cummins Truck, scraping the paint in 4 places. And pretty much bent the H out of the EZ up. Had to McGyver that in order to make it useful for the time being.

I once sat on the side of 95 for 2.5 hours waiting on U-Haul. The guy showed up and didn't have the right size socket to get the wheel off. Luckily I had 1/2 inch sockets and a breaker bar in the truck. Then he proceeded to change the tire out with irons. lol Another hour! Evidently they sub contract repairs because the truck had a garage name on it.

MUUURPHY!!!

U haul is like AAA they have garages under contract for repairs.
For the guy they sent out, he was at the upper limits of his technical abilities. I basically changed the tire out. Could have done it faster without the help. It was a really long day. lol

Yup... This is where it gets better. They told me on Friday, that they would come meet me outside of the fairgrounds on Sunday when I left. But... I had already plugged it , and it was holing air for two days. I leave Carlisle at 11am and get and hour down the road. People are flagging/waving/pointing. It was the right rear, so I cant see it , and my truck is so loud, I didn't hear it. I'm two miles to the next exit off I83, so I slow down to 40 and pull of in Emigsville/York. Called them on my phone, took me 25 mins on hold to get someone. But.... They were pretty quik calling me back with an ETA of repair. He got there in 40 mins and knocked it out quick like. Also Checked air in the other 3 tires. Total downtime 1 1/2 hr.
