morning all, today is the 3 year anniversay with my affair, my wife still isn't happy about it but im keeping my mistress. I only get to play with her once a week and she's quite expensive.

Here's her pics

On a less serious note, I've read 1.6 billion posts about subframe connectors and still have no clue.. For stiffening up a street only car, how large a bar does one need? And does it 'have to be' welded to the floorpan to be of any benefit...
Never did it, but seems to me its an anything helps situation. From factory, you get a sheet of metal between front and back that does almost nothing for twist. BUT, the rockers do connect front to back, and is a substantial structural section. They just are not tied in good. I would think well done torque boxes would actually do more than frame connectors.

i'd do both torque boxes AND subframe connectors

A simple upgrade just got pretty involved!! Now I have to fab up torque boxes too!!
nah - 318 right? as long as the car is solid - just the subframe connectors. The roofs of these cars is considered an integral part of the frame which is why they didn't make them full frame - as long as it's not already twisted, you'll be fine with just the connectors.

And I'm back to a simple weld in the bars.. 1.5"X3"X1/8", laid flat so I don't have to cut the floors? Any other suggestions?

I think Rani posted dimensions of the nice ones she made. I know they are on here somewhere.

man, I really noticed what Rani has mentioned a couple of times recently - it was DARK outside when I got up this morning... oh those "short" days are a coming...

whats the goal for the car? if its just a cruiser, you'd be fine with one or the other, if its a dedicated straight line car, i'd just do subframes, if its a corner carver, do both.

The only thing I could ad, which you prob already know and I had to learn the hard way, is that a wire wheel on the body doesn't do the job as far as preping. gotta grind or sand with a die grinder to get real fresh metal.
