Anyone need a pair of rear Sensa-track coil over shocks (58496) with only 250 miles on them? They are coming off the car on Saturday!

I have never ran any
I really liked them, they stiffen up the rear with a progressive spring rate so it won't rattle your teeth being too firm over normal road surface but keeps the rear from diving under load. Can't use them with the higher SS spring height so I'm switching to the KYB shocks like I have on the front.

The Monroe Sensa-Trac load adjusting shock absorber with PSD (position sensitive damping) and the Safe Tech system combines our exclusive precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube with application engineered valving and Fluon banded piston to improve the ride, handling, and safety characteristics of the vehicle. These units also include a heavy gauge calibrated progressive-rate spring for extra control and comfort. A new pair of Monroe Sensa-Trac load adjusting shock absorbers can assist in maintaining ride height when up to 1,200 lbs. of additional weight is loaded.

All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride comfort
  • Fluon Banded Piston: Works with the existing groove tube technology to provide responsiveness to changing road conditions
  • Unique Groove Tube - PSD: Precision tapered grooves help provide added control without sacrificing comfort
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration

don't know what you all are talking about .....but good evening all.

Mr. Mopar Tim....you are a rock star

I forgot what year model your Dart is, just wanted to make sure I can use them, be glad to have them but if they won't fit Victoria 66 Valiant I don't want to take them from a member that can use them to Ddaddy.. I would think they would

Its amazing how old cars got repaired in the 80s with wrong parts and people just let it go.

My 72 demon had a 71 driver fender put on and then the whole car was painted sometime in the mid 80s according to previous owner. You would think people would notice the marker was different and you would think it wouldn't be all that hard to find a correct fender beck then when these cars were all over every salvage yard.

People have always been lazy and willing to accept 'good enough' if the price was right..

No one cared! Our beloved and cared for Mopars were just transportation. Nothing more.

I just cross checked multiple shock listings and it looks like the Valiant uses different shocks from the Dart or Barracuda in '66. I don't think they will fit on your car. :(

ahh - but in the 80's I bought a beater Scamp /6 for 300 bucks that lasted me 4 years... they weren't considered to be anything

Well then (as we discussed in PM), they are yours after you double check the fitment!

Yep, folks just slapped on whatever fit just to keep rolling. Matching never mattered as long as it fit. Like my '70 Duster, MOPAR meant More Original Parts Arranged Randomly!
