Never underestimate a Country Girl...

Woman strangles bobcat to death in front yard in Georgia

HARTWELL, Ga. (AP) — A 46-year-old woman strangled a rabid bobcat after the animal attacked her in her front yard in northeast Georgia.

The Athens-Banner Herald reports that DeDe Phillips of Hart County went outside on June 7 to take a picture when the bobcat lunged at her. She then grabbed the cat by its throat and didn’t let go.

Phillips says she grew up in the country, where her father-in-law was once a trapper of bobcats. As a result, she knew something about the animal’s behavior.

Phillips says she was afraid of calling for help because her 5-year-old granddaughter was in the house. The woman is being treated for rabies and recovering from a broken finger and several bite and claw wounds to her hands, arms, chest and legs.

I’m exhausted. It was a PIA weekend pushing vendors to get all the supplies needed for our upcoming clinical trial to the manufacturing site in Australia. Since Friday afternoon, I have been bombarded with emails and text messages around the clock as people in Switzerland, Ireland, the western US and Australia try to get everything delivered and received at the manufacturing site.

All that means I had to respond to every message within minutes, answer questions, provide guidance and provide a written summary to my CEO in real time as it went along.

Thankfully, about an hour ago, everything was in Australia. Of course it still needs to get through customs and to the manufacturing site...I expect another long night of interupted sleep. :BangHead:

Is this the same job that was closing down? Sorry if that's a dumb question

I just finished this one from the photos I took that Summer. It still needs work, but not bad so far.

Yep, but not the part that’s closing. I work for 5 Companies through one. The one that is closing carries my benefits. The rest makes up 75% of my salary.
Ahhhh I see now. I was all sorts of confused. Sorry about that.

Man I don't envy you at all. Hope it works out for you

Three calls, no caller id. Not answering and if they too dumb to leave a message, too bad.
Its likely work related, unlike Dave, my days off are exactly that.
Especially when retired customers are all bent out of shape because i wont work weekends.
“Doesent seem like he wants to work”

I stopped “working” at 7:00 pm.
Cutting grass tonight.

Done staining the deck for the day, went until 10 under lights because it was cooler in the evening and I wanted to get as much done as possible. Will probably take a look in the morning and say What the Hell? because the light wasn't that great HA! It was only 77 degrees but felt hot to me cause I live in the banana belt, very mild. I don't know how you guys do it.

Well glad you got the deck done. That is one my least favorite jobs.
Your 77 was our overnight low. It sucks here right now heat index has been over 100 all weekend. Cooler weather this week highs mid 80's.

Should drop later this week. The humidity kills me. Did get the deck of the trailer off yesterday. Glad Ron pushed me to do it!

Still going on the truck?? Couple more weeks and you'll be packing up for Carlisle.

Humidity is awful here, pushing heat index everyday to 102-105. Of course in the desert it was 130-140, but no humidity.
