Stop in for a cup of coffee

My office is cold. 67 degrees. Nice as the shop will likely hit 80 today.

4:00 appointment with the AC estimator. We can't just replace the compressor/ condenser unit but we also need to replace the Evaporator and or the air handler as well. Good thing the wife is buying. LOL

Mike, I don't know how handy you are... But in the last 5 years, I replaced both HVAC systems in my house, 2 air handlers and 2 outside units. I determined what I needed. Then I bought them online, from a reputable company. I pulled the air handlers, myself and re fit the new ones with a little sheet metal fab work. I set the outside units. Then I call my HVAC buddy to come and hook up the line set and controls... Love to know how much $$$$$$$$$ I have saved myself..........

Woo Hoo. There are days here I think of installing AC, but most of the time not needed. BUT ask my wife, more days needed then I think.

I can be pretty handy but not for this. The squirrel cage is as big as my kitchen table. The Evaporator coils are 5 feet long combined and the system is almost 100 years old. It was originally a swamp cooler a/c back in the day. No I am best if I realize my limitations. Make the call and write the check! LOL

I did pretty much the same thing.
Took a/c guy 1 hour to get it running.

Ram 2500 axle seal-front.
Hey, could warped rotors cause a vibration at 50-55 mph but no where else? It's the only thing I can think of on my jeep. Checked the hubs, ball joints, shocks and brand new tires.

Vibration in seat or steering wheel?
I would pull calipers and check for free movement of guide pins and ensure the brake pads move freely in the abutments.
A dragging pad can heat the rotor.
Also, some claim improper wheel torque will warp a rotor.
While wheels are off ( aluminum?)
Check for corrosion across mounting surface and clean as necessary.
Would get worse the farther you drive.
Had a ranger a few months back, brake cable was causing shoes to drag, more i drove the worse it got. One drum was way hotter than the other. Replaced cable and vibration was gone.

Steering wheel and under braking. And it is getting worse. Started about 4 days ago.

Bet the new stuff is a fraction of the size. You will likely save much of the cost in the efficiency gained.

Check the runout on the rotors, with a dial test indicator..
You guys mentioned brake machines earlier... I asked a guy at work I know is always working on cars, where I could get rotors cut. He says 'I have a machine, haven't used it in years' With cost of new, says it's rarely worth the time to do them. Most are under till you get them clean. Or they don't pass for runout. I asked him about the ones I took off tha Duster and he said he would just run them. Asked about pits and he said same thing I was thinking - no worse than drilled/slots... They are like new otherwise.
He also has inspection licence. But doesn't use it anymore. Keeps it up cause it allows him to drive anything without inspection. lol

Yeahh we used to charge $40 a rotor to resurface, and that was 18 years ago. I buy new rotors now in the 30-40 dollar range, so , many lathes are sitting idle. But we , as old car guys need them occasionally..Just for our stuff

I still own one of these...

@MOPARMITCH
Save an inner tie rod end,m14 diameter.
If you ever need to drive out a hub from a ram2500 4x4 this makes it easy.

I cut it off at the end of the hex.
4lb hammer and it moved after only a few whacks. Watched a youtube video of a guy that blew the bearing apart trying to pull hub. My solution.
