Yeahh we used to charge $40 a rotor to resurface, and that was 18 years ago. I buy new rotors now in the 30-40 dollar range, so , many lathes are sitting idle. But we , as old car guys need them occasionally..Just for our stuff
Ouch. Didn't think it was that much. But I guess at even half that it would hardly make sense.

Bet the new stuff is a fraction of the size. You will likely save much of the cost in the efficiency gained.

I think he's more worried about gettin all that old heavy stuff out of there.LOL
I'll post some pics off my phone to this post in a min or two to show you what I am working with.

Bet that cost about as much as the rest of the house when it was put in. 'Lifestyles of the rich and famous' to have AC back then.
It was originally a swamp cooler a/c system. There's 3 or 4 interconnected cisterns on the north side of the house. It would pull water from the the last one, run it through a coil and pump it back to the first one. Pretty fancy stuff for 1921.

I pay 10 bucks a rotor locally. 20 bucks for drums over 10 inches. Only use them for tractor brakes now as those are couple hundred bucks a piece.

I am a little further away....Takes mail longer...
So good news today. Well more. My wife's employer is setting her up a home office, they want her to work for full pay for the times she's off(8-12 weeks) so at most, she's lost 2 days of pay

I just went out for a smoke on my front step. In the sun is 125 degrees. Thats hot.

It might take even longer. I think the last time I sent you a calendar, it went out to Guam before it got back to you! LOL!
It's funny you say that. When my brother was stationed in San Diego, my other brother was in Germany, mailed them both a care package at the exact same time thru USPS, my brother in Germany got his 2 days before my brother in San Diego
