Stop in for a cup of coffee

I left a hint as to the only way to tell us apart once in this thread.. Well at least with our pants on.
Man I am pissed.
The rear door on the cab drivers side. Ford f150. Needs a new cable. Nobody has one just repair kits.
So while I have been hopelessly searching for one the interior panels have been sitting in the garage.
Today is trash day, and while cleaning up. I was tossing some interior parts from the 06 charger. Figured they aren't worth hauling to Carlisle.
Well about 3 hours after they collected the trash. Yep tossed out the Ford panels with the charger stuff.:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
Well that bites! I usually trip over something for years and as soon as I toss it I need it the next day. F150 parts should be easy to find at the bone yard. Ya I know, you already had the pieces you needed.:mob:

Yep wont cost much. I have a few friends with yards. Already put in a call.
Finding a good set for an 01 the same color may be the issue.

Ahh crap...thought I was the only one doing stuff like that.

nope, pretty much standard procedure. I do fix a lot of stuff with the junk I save, but proportionally not really. And I know as quick as I get rid of it, I will need it. But I'm at a point now if I don't KNOW what it's getting used on it's time to move it out. Now it's just the process of trying to sell or give away stuff with value or decide to just toss or go to scrap metal.

I sold some smalls at Farmington. First time in a very long time I'd done that.
Usually I just give it away to someone struggling ($$) and needs what I have to put their car together.

I usually give away stuff before I sell it. Even then for less then it's worth.
Figure when I'm gone my son will toss everything he has zero Interest in.
:(

OK .. Tired of listening to the neighbor's tree grinder. I'd rather hear the big Honda thump. Time to ride  They better have that thing folded up by BBQ time :rofl:Or not. Extra adult beverage should muffle the sound .. To some extent

I have a pork shoulder on the smoker and a Tito's and tonic close at hand.

I should sell my 66. I have half a car in spare parts. Lots to sell after the car is gone.

In the last 18 months or so I have actually given away four running cars.
One was a 68 firebird overhead cam 6 stick car.
All it needed was a good interior cleaning and fresh paint.
A 49 Ford with a nice running 302.
Needed full interior and paint.
Kid tired of it in before the s summer ended and sold it

I should have asked you guys. A classmate's hubby has a 55 Ford pick up with a 272 and a 2 barrell Holley. He needs a carb. Any help? I thought it should be a 292 but I see there was a ohv 272 available. I laughed at Jan's message. "It's a friggin red truck Mike. I don't know!"

I think Mitch is the Holley guy.
But that is a funny reply.

Hopefully @MOPARMITCH will chime in. Class reunion coming up next week and I needed Rick to drive his truck in the parade. It was running as rich as Trump 5 years ago. I'm surprised Rick hasn't found a carb. (off to ForTrucksOnly) LOL

Holley are actually a fairly easy carb to rebuild. Like any carb dirt is their biggest enemy. Never run out of gas with a Holley. Has been my experience.

I think he has parts missing.
