Hit the key to start my day and GRRRRRaa, spent two hours looking for a starter, spent another hour and a half returning Starter and find a store that had the right oneView attachment 1715224841
That sucks.
Still haven't mowed the grass. Already have a few spritzers starting out there so not looking like I will do much if any this morning... Will see what it's doing when I get outside. Not rushing...Well looks like two more days of heavy rain here from Florence!
We were owned by a cat for near 15 years. Now just have a dog. She is pretty sure she is human, but knows she is not the boss. LOL

One was spicy and one was hoppy. (Pun intended) I can't remember which is which. How is the best way to store them? Can you freeze them? Pellets ok?

My plants are mature now. But, the weather and some Jap beetles made a mess of them this year. I don't think the beetles hurt most of the cones, but they nibble around them just enough that they look like crap. I may eventually get stuff to brew and then will take more interest in harvesting them. For now I am just growing the plants. Looks kinda cool. LOL This pic is from last year, was a much better year for plants in general here

So I'm listening to my normal local FM radio on the way to work an earlier start than normal, those paving contractors were good for that. Regular DJ, just a normal day. Riiight. He played this bit called "Popo the Pocket Monkey", would have made Dr Dimento blush. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to wet'em
. I couldn't find it anywhere on the net at the time. Maybe I'll give that a look now . Gooood morning. Ratz! Nuthin!

I have a question for you all wise people. Roof metal. I'm ordering my roof metal in the next week or so for my shop. Construction won't start until spring most likely. If I stack it on some pallets outside and throw a tarp over it, think itd be ok outside all winter?

I was getting nervous under the black walnut trees. Already a lot of leaves and some nuts on the ground. Was glad the wind didn't kick up too quick. Was praying the first nut to fall didn't land on my head. lol

Do you have to wear a Snell 2015 approved helmet on the riding mower under the walnut tree? Or will one of those DOT approved pudding bowls with chin straps suffice?

Yeh… They are actually fairly common around here. I have collected them a few times. Not long after we moved here I had a few hundred drying in the shed and the squirrels stole them. I did some other years and shelled them out. I will eat some, but not really a favorite. Like English walnuts a lot more. My great aunts used to make black walnut cake. Probably first place I ever had them when I was a kid.

Midget racer I knew, Almond farmer from the San Joaquin Valley. They used a harvester that clamped to the trunk of the almond tree and vibrated. Name of the Midget .. "Nut Shaker Special"
We had a guy on the morning radio here, for years... The Greaseman, AKA Nino Greasemanelli...This guy was a riot, He did these radio skits all the time..Funny as hell..He had his own lingo , for things you cant say on the radio. After you knew his lingo, it was hilarious ....Leme see if I can find a Youtube...Found some..
