Unless I missed a thread on this topic, I’ll take it that none of you guys are watching Stranger Things on Netflix! It’s a horror story set in 1983/1984 and it’s pretty awesome (in my opinion). If for no other reason, the show is worth watching for the tons of period-correct cars throughout the show (though some incorrect details will stand out to true gear heads).

They released the second batch of episodes a couple of weeks back and in Episode 6, a mostly in tact junk yard Dart Sport (74?) gets quite a bit of screen time!

Did anyone else catch this? There have been a couple of Abody appearances in this show but this one knocked my socks off.

It doesn’t take much, folks. :)

I spotted it right away. If your into 80's nostalgia this is a great show to watch.

Yeh spotted that to! Freaked the family out when I got all excited about the Duster. Then I realized it was a Dart they got freaked out again. :D

Weird, just saw this today. I saw enough of it to see it was a billboard cuda. Did not see the call outs on it.

In season 3 episode 4 a little after the 21 minute mark there’s a Hemi cuda driving in the parking lot

They do a respectable job of finding period correct looking cars but what are the odds of a Hemicuda rolling through the high school parking lot? Those cars were RARE. It's not impossible, just unlikely. :D I guess this is a symptom of what's available. Not too many people saved Vegas, first gen Escorts, four door Oldsmobuicks, etc. The cars that are left tend to be quite a bit "nicer" on the average.

Did anyone else notice the corrosion on the seat belt buckles of the Wheeler family station wagon? Since that's supposed to be a basically new car, that's pretty fast rust, even for an 80s GM product!

I swear that I try to not nitpick these details. I really do love this series!! :)

I caught those Mopars as well, very cool. It's a shame they can't really do more with the show it seemed pretty clear the way season 3 ended there will be no more Stranger Things, at least in Hawkins. Plus the kids aren't really "kids" anymore which takes away some of the charm of the show IMO. I want to see more of those actors though especially the guy who plays Jim Hopper (the police chief).
