Stripe Question???

I am thinking of adding a tail stripe to my Duster and I would like your opinions. I am trying to decide to leave the back of my car blank (as in the top pic) or if I should add the tail stripe kit to it (as in the second pic), so your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Here is another pic, of the stripe i was thinking of. It is a little easier to see but i am sure you all have seen this stripe somewhere before.

I am quite surprised it is 17 to 1. Would it be better to get the kit or see if i can have it painted on there?
