stuck VDO oil pressure gauge

installed VDO quad gauge set, when turned on for the first time the oil pressure gauge needle went past the 80 psi mark and is now pegged/stuck past the 80psi mark tried to tap on the lense but it will not move with power on or power off just stays there any thoughts ?? other gauges, volt, gas, temp. gauges work fine, I used the oem oil and temp. sensors

I would return it to the manufacturer...

I thought about that, but I am going to try there correct sensor for the oil pressure gauge. hoping not to have to take apart the dash/gauges to replace the unit.

An electric gauge shouldn't stick at full high even if you had 300 lbs of pressure.
You have a bad gauge.
There are quite a few Google search results on that problem with the VDO oil pressure gauge.
