Aloha,

I have a 71 duster that I'm thinking of changing the headliner in.

My question is~ How do you know how many bows your headliner is? 4, 5 and 6? Without removing the existing?

Can I just feel for the rods and count? Is it that simple? #-o
Does the amount of bows correspond with the amount of panels in the head liner?

Mahalo!

(The headliner is in good shape, but in the back near the sail panels there are a couple of one inch holes). It only bothers me...everyone else thinks I'm stupid for even wanting to change it...](*,)

Which leads to another question. Do you think an uphostrey shop can/could fix a hole in a headliner?

See told you its STUPID!!! :dontknow:

Thanks for your input.

Count the seams, they should correspond to the number of ribs you have. A headliner could be repaired by a competent upholsterer if there was surplus material, but it would likely look like it was a repair.
