Subframe Connectors and Parking Brakes

Have any early A guys here install subframe connectors?? Were you able to utilize the stock parking brake cables and set-up?
 
Just drill a couple holes for the cable to go through.

Yes I used my park brake cable for my 65 Dart using USCT subframe. I drilled a hole on left side and took a nice chunk out of the right side of DS connector.

Thanks guys. For some reason, my front cable is not reaching far enough through the hole in my subframe connectors to clear the connector. I'm going to have to get creative with the routing to make it work.

Are you early A guys with subframe connectors running this bracket? Did you just screw it to the bottom of the subframe connector?

That looks like a 67+ setup. The cables are slightly different.
 
Thanks guys. For some reason, my front cable is not reaching far enough through the hole in my subframe connectors to clear the connector. I'm going to have to get creative with the routing to make it work.

Are you early A guys with subframe connectors running this bracket? Did you just screw it to the bottom of the subframe connector?

That looks like a 67+ setup. The cables are slightly different.
I used the bracket on the rear passenger side. I just cut the connector to make the bracket fit.
 
I can get some pics tomorrow, I’ll crawl under there.

That'd be awesome. Unfortunately, when I relocated the springs on my 66 I didn't measure where the rear anchors for the rear parking brake cables were before I cut them off. If you could get me a reference measurement for those, that'd be great!!! I'm sure there's plenty of wiggle room to weld in some angle iron with a hole in it, but having a starting point would make it a bit easier.

btw- Springfield's a nice town. My folks are up in Roseburg. They love it up there. Hopefully your air quality is back to normal.

Springfield is pretty nice, smoke has cleared thankfully been raining. Here’s a few pics. Where do you want me to measure from for a reference point for rear anchors? Dustin

I just did this on a 69 B body, had to cut some holes at different points bc the cable comes across the SFC at an angle. Not hard, just takes some fitting, much better to get it set up before welding in the SFC however.

Thanks for the pictures. My connectors are in a slightly different spot. I figured out a way to make it work though. I cut a 2" section of the outer sheath of the front cable out. That way, the front sticks outs further and clears everything. Thanks again.
