Super six or 318 pro's and con's

I just pulled my original super /six engine that i need to replace or swap out for a V8. I was thinking about converting to a 318. What are the pro's and con's of each? Anyone have opinions on this matter? Thanks!

i would rebuild the super six. put some good headers on it. cut the head to get 8-8.5 CR. it will run as well as a stock 318 and still get good mileage. lot less work too.:thumrigh:

nice ride. thanks. i think i'll do that. what can i do to increase Hp and torque? i already have a four barrel carb and headers into dual exhaust. hooked up to a 904 auto trans. what do you think?

no. i recently found that i do not have a super six setup. instead, i just have a clifford intake manifold with a four barrel carb. my mistake.
