Hey there. This may be my first posting so if things go wrong, sorry.
About a year ago I purchased a Edelbrock Super Victor intake For carburetor applications. For the past year it sat in the box unopened. This week I popped the box open. Inside was what I’d call a cross breed intake. The box says part number 2815, consistent with a Super Victor for carburetor applications. The intake itself is embossed with EFI, and the model number underneath is 28155, consistent with a Super Victor for EFI applications. The injector bosses are there but are not milled for injectors as they would be.
I suspect that the Edelbrock foundry probably produced more EFI intakes than needed and before the injector bosses were milled, the intake was repurposed as a Super Victor for Carburetor applications.
Im pretty sure other than the bosses and the annoying EFI embossing, the intakes are the same. I hope so, I’ve already started milling it. Wow, this intake needs a lot of port work.
Anyone know about these cross breed intakes?
Have a look at the photos.
