...or even under $300! What the heck is this? I can't help but be curious. They are on ebay, they are an electric supercharger that is activated only when the accelerator pedal is smashed down to at least 75% See and read here: [ame="http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-SUPERCHARGER-KIT-3-PSI-900-Watt-Intake-Turbo-Cold-Air-Dodge-Chrysler/300906979454?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D18058%26meid%3D2897848760634810157%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D8304%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D260907088230%26"]Electric supercharger Kit 3 PSI 900 Watt Intake Turbo Cold Air Dodge Chrysler | eBay[/ame]

So, if you can gain 3+ psi at 800 cfm, for under $200, wouldn't that be a good thing? Are they total crap? I can't help but think so, but I've never seen or hear of these things. Sure I would rather have a Paxton, but right at $3k+ that's NOT gonna happen. What thinks you, the FABO panel of knowledgeable experts?

i clicked close right after he said 4hp from a tune, headers, and 10hp from cams...

hot rod did a write up on attaching a leaf blower to a intake,..belive thay said 3lbs boost an maybe 3 hp... looks like snake oil to me...

Snake oil.....

I agree!
Maybe on a little 2.2L .........but at full throttle, i would bet dines to donuts that i wouldn't make 1 psi.
Maybe 3psi when it at rest or idling.

A boosted eng moves a massive amount of air.......can't see that thing doing any thing but mess with the "intake air sensor"(assuming fuel injection here)

I haven't seen this one before, but it seams fitting. :puke:

Supercharger my *** ! It's a fan blowing air into the air cleaner . Don't see it putting your engine under pressure . Btter off with a ram air hood

Open a bank account and put that money in it every week until you can afford what you really want & need to make good power. Not some BS piece of junk that looks like it would be good for blowing up an air mattress and not very fast at that.

Absolutely a waste of time, effort, and money. It has been proved by several YouTubers and magazines that it doesn't really make any additional horsepower.

A cheaper alternative to what's in the link would be, go buy a cheap leaf blower and attach it. When you want more power just pull the cord and fire it up.
