How much does one need wen running Cal Tracs? Think I seen 5" mentioned somewhere? How about triangulated 4 bar? Four link? Ladder bars?

Atleast 5" of front end travel when running caltracs or they will not work properly...this is IMPERATIVE...know this from experience

I have coil-overs on the four corners with ladder bars. the front has three inches of travel, that didn't work with the bars level or up one hole. dropping the bars down one hole from level really got it to work. once I got a good amount of torque from the motor it took to lifting the front off one and half to two feet which is just about correct for me.

Good question Ink I'm watching for answers,I have the same questions,5in of travel is a lot isn't it??? does that require removing the bump stops??? Steve

Just as a guess....when you go with a more adjustable rear suspension you can tune it to what ever the front has travel wise?

not to hi-jack the thread, but what`s the least amount of travel for 002-003 s/s springs that will work?------thanks, bob

I would guess 5" as a rule of thumb, if you are a radial tire guy get all the travel you can and then limit it from there. You can build adjustable bump stops with nothing more than some 3-5" bolts and 4 nuts.

When we are talking front end travel. We are taking ride height too max lift right???? Not from bump stop to bump stop...........

How much travel does a average Mopar have to begin with?

I was referring to the little rubber stop that stops the UCA from dropping. But yes travel is measured from ride height t bump stop. Easily checked with a jack and a tape measure
