I got the bellhousing out today. As you can see in the pics; the auto (where the blue tape is) has 2 more 3/8" threaded holes. Digging around the shop last week, I found some brackets/struts that may have been on my old 70 Swinger auto. Do they go in those holes? I seem to remember lower bracing, but I seem to remember that I lost memory for last week.
