swapping pistons?

Would it be safe to swap pistons on a rebuilt 8k motor? Of course the piston weights are within 1gram of each other and the bores have been checked for proper size. What else would be needed? Should I have the block rehoned or just do the swap? I would be using new rod bearings.

Put rod brgs. and rings and measure the bottom of the pistons at the lowest part of the piston skirt and see what the difference is and this will tell you if the pistons are reuseable for the engine or bore that your trying to fit. Cast pistons .003-.005 and go.
