Hey folks does anyone know if a 1966 valiant with a 273.Will the rearend fit my 1962 Valiant

Over on Moparts.com, in the tech archives section there is a lot of info I didn't see any info for earlier than an 66 a body. More looking around there might help???

yeah that'll fit right in.

you'll likely need a new drop hose from the hard line to the axle and you may need to play around with the e-brake cables but other than that it's a fairly straight forward R&R.

As a complete rear end, it should fit just fine along with JYH's caveats. As for keeping spare parts off the old rear end.....keep the brakes, housing cover, and the pinion flange. The housing, axle shafts, axle bearings and seals are all different. Just remember to order replacement parts for the year of the replacement rear.

You can save the ring and pinion too.....if they're still good.
