Swing-out bars

One of my biggest gripes with my Demon is climbing over the darn monkey bars. I'd like to replace them with swing-out bars. Not that I've had the Demon to the track (yet), but are swing-out bars NHRA legal? Or would it be at the discretion of the local track? Pics? Eventualy I want to swap out those butt-numbing 'glass seats too.

I think if you require a cage (9.99 or faster IIRC) than swing out bars are illegal. If you are legal for a bar (which doesnt include the halo or front bars...11.49-10.00) than you can use them. It's been a while since I had a valid NHRA rulebook tho.

Our unique spring loaded latching mechanism does the rest. Once the latch is fully engaged the chrome plated safety-slider springs into place locking the side bar securely in place. NHRA legal to 8.50

Yes Jeggs,Summit,Chris Alston's Chassisworks,etc I like ALSTON RACE CARS . ones they have the nice feature with them being spring loaded and at a good price.
