tail light interior paint

I'm trying to recondition my old tail lights and was going to repaint the inside of the housing, but it looks like some kind of reflective paint. I was going to use just plain old glossy silver, but now I don't know.

Anyone else use plain silver paint? is it as bright as stock tail lights or should I hold off and get some reflective silver?

I just used a bright silver in a rattle can. It made a huge difference in freshening up the inside of the tail lights. It doesn't have to be mirror-like.

i did the same thing, silver paint, the cap ( indicates color) looked like it was chromed. turned out great.

I have seen chrome paint don't know if it will work better then silver but it's out there.
