the demon sizzler stripe was on the 71 only and on the gss demon 72 ??? or was it optional on the 72 as a decor package ? thank you ?

I've seen it on '72, 340 car my buddy was thinking about buying.
Not sure what the GSS was all about(?), so I can't comment on that.

I think it was '71 Sizzler then became the hood black out for '72 340 cars. As '71 was the rectangle style black out but I may be wrong.

the sizzler package was supposed to be the cousin to the duster twister. I am pretty there were no sizzler 340 made because the point of the sizzler and twister was to look like muscle but be economical and fuel efficient. They had either slant sixes or 318s.

then in 72 the same hood treatment appeared but often accompanied with the dual snorkel scoop depending on engine option.
