Telescopic mirror

I believe this is the correct term for the mirror that has the wires and moves from inside the car. Ok its a bit hard for me to explain but im sure most of you know what im talking about.

My question is if it can be taken apart? I need it apart so it can be re-chromed. Thank you

I believe it is a remote mirror. Can't help you on the teardown.

Do you mean wires or cables. These cables have thin wires in them and when broken they are pretty much finished. A pic would help.

I really just want the mirror off of the base, and yes it is a remote mirror, thank you. Ill get some pictures.

Break the mirror out, local glass co. can make a new one, cheap. That's how they fix a cracked one.

ya they come apart the base comes off how bad is your base? I have a ton of those mirrors I can send one out to you with the arm rests

that is how you take it off the car, I have did that multiple times. I need the component disassembled.
