Temp Sender woes!!!

Ive just got my new set of VDO gauges for the Dart.
The Temperature sender that comes with the kit is 3/8". This is waaaaay to big for the hole in the Stock Manifold.

Can anyone tell me what size thread the original sender has and what size sender I can replace it with??

It looks 1/8"????

The stock sender in my 360 is 1/8-NPT. You can likely use a stock sender.

Just a thought my intake which is a sb performer rpm has 3 spots that i could use. two 3/8 and the stock 1/8. I have just the stock sender and two plugs in the intake, but the ports are there...you looked right? :thumblef: :mrgreen:

Do you still have your stock temp sender? Use that, or just go to autozone or something and grab a stocker for a couple bucks.(if you can where you are at...) I'm pretty sure they read the same.. :salut:
 
I managed to get in conatct with a supplier of race parts over here called Merlin Motorsport. They sold me a correct VDO temp sender in the correct size. So jobs a gooden.
