I'm in the market for some thin as sbm head gaskets. I had a nosey at Summit, but I'm lousy at computers, and couldn't find anything. Plus I don't buy from Summit as a rule. I'm far far away from the US. I have a mate who owns a speed shop, but he's selling up soon. So I want to have a spend up with him before he does.

Anyone have some part numbers for me?

Freight charges to get them down here would kill it.
But I just remembered a buddy of my dads is coming back to NZ for Xmas this year. So I might be able to send them to him, and get him to fit them into his suitcase. (Last year he bought a turbo compressor wheel I bought for my valiant charger in his pocket. lol)

MR Gasket 1121G and the MP 4120094 are the thin head gasket...

as far as holding up....got a 71 360 Dart that has run 10.30s with those head gaskets...and they have been on that engine for over 5 yrs now...

Why does no one repop the shim gasket? Its just a stamped piece of tin, probably cost a quarter in materials? Seems like a **** hot CNC guy could make a die and use a shop press to stamp a few hundred out at $10 piece...

I checked. About $20,000 for 4 dies. A male and female embossing set and a male and female stamping set. You could write a program for the stamping on a laser but that doesn't come cheap either. I checked about stamping 66 Dart headlight bezels. Maybe our friends in China could do them cheaper. tmm

Thanks Tony. I take your for it over what I've read. But I have read several places people have had problems with the Mr Gasket pieces. But you know what they say about forum info. lol

You can still get them for Chevys and Fords. Like everything else.

Also had a couple more sets in use.....on a w2 head 360...and a two other 360s...and never had a head gasket problem...

I run a set on my 5.9 magnum, no machine work just a surface clean up with a plam sander and a set of arp bolts. Im less than nice to that motor and have 0 issues with them.

Toolman, Im talking in house spare time stuff. Getting one made is out. Waterjet the shim stock then stamp the embossing. I have an injection mold die maker guy who said he could make me a "shoe" for some simple 65 taillights in his spare time. He told me with the standard 'shoe' you could take it to any injection mold place and have them pop out a few hundred in an hour. Amazing stuff. His company has since outsourced that line to Mexico so that hook-up is out.

I need to go to SEMA and pop in next door where the offshore producers hang out. I understand you can get almost anything reproduced for cheap. tmm

I have the Mr Gasket 1121g's on my 360 with zero deck and KB 107's .028 compressed. Got em from Summit.
