i love mopars, no dout, to hell with chevy and ford, haha anyways, i found a duster locally for $500 its a 73 duster with a slant, auto, and the right supspention is broke i am unsure of what it is as of now, but ive seen pics online, the body is alright. I was wonder what do you guys think of my buying this, i could get the money pretty soon, but i do need to put more money into my cuda, i mean id love to haver another project for down the road ive always LOVED dusters. but 69sigv8 sugested to keep stedy on the cuda and its so tempting haha, he is probably right keep my eye on the prize :thumblef: i was thinking perhaps if i did buy it maybe i could sell stuff off of it to make money, just a though probably not though. any sugestions ha, ya its a dumb thread but its just something i'm pondering

o and i was thinking of making it a dd(daily driver) cause with all the work i do on my cuda v8 and all that will kill me gas wize, i have a honda (i know i know) it gets 25mpg and i though with a slant i could stay mopar :thumblef: then super six it(2bbl) headers get its ok gas milage sure it wont be as fast and ive always had a passion for hot rodding a slant down the road it was my plan for my wagon :( and i was thinking 4speed od trans haha anyways any thoughs

I have dial-up so I only looked at one pic. My opinion is keep your money. As rusty as that car is the torsion bar mounts may be gone, hence the suspension problem. Not practical to fix unless it's a high dollar car (sorry '73s aren't high dollar now).
Besides, you can't buy and save every car that comes along, I know, I've tried.

I would say it looks like it has more issues than meets the eye. Body looks pretty rough as far as being easy to get looking decent. Sitting out in that field has probably done a number on the underside. I wouldn't buy it personally, i spent $800 on mine has a couple small rust spots...easily fixed, other than that its rock solid, slant like that one, white interior, buckets, floor shift...I would pass...just my .02cents

As others have said, looks like it could have other issues that you can see right away. I wouldn't think it would be worth more than $100 tops in it's condition. Imo, I would spend the money on trying to get yur 66 Dart wagon back on the road. There just are not that many around these days, and it seems everyone has a Duster.

Pass on it. Finish what you got. To many irons in the fire is a waste of time.
That Duster would be great for parts unless your looking for a bracket beater.

Supress the urge to become a collector, because you don't get too much time as a builder on any one project if you have too many vehicles lying around awaiting work. Pass!

yeah i never though about the torsin bar mount rotting away, good point and i know a 73 isnt that desirable. I really got into this drifting event we had this weekend, where you try and slide your car sidways around corners and such i'm thinking of buying a 89 nissan 240sx its rwd inline six 140hp, non turbo, he wants about $300 for it, its kinda a bidding war not on ebay though. it needs a new clutch and battery to run, but i'm debating, i need to stay on track :silent: ha its hard for me. And yes id love to get my wagon on the road again, but i think if anything it will be a drag car now, its got alot of things wrong with it besides being all toasty from the fire the front end is all banged up i need a grill and bumper minimal to get i ok looking in the front, the back i will need new wagon windows, seat, windshield (if glass cant be fixed probably not), door pannels, dash its pretty rough :cwm10: :sad2:
