I ran my vin on the Valiant, It had a 198 slant 6 in it when I bought it. The vin engine code is "G" as in 318, BUT.... The fender sticker says it has a 198 cu in.
What's the deal?

Either someone changed the sticker or the VIN is wrong. :scratch:

My brothers RoadRunner fender tag for the paint code is wrong!
The car is originally F6 and the fender tag says F8.
I know F6 is the original color because my dad bought the car new in 69.

I went and checked again, just to be sure, and yeah, it says it a code G. But the sticker in the engine bay says its a 198. How cool would that be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should try to do some looking into this?

Wow, there's a favorite expression mine! :laughing:

As for the contradicting vin, something may be swapped here. Maybe, for what ever reason, the dash was changed? Collision repair and the wrong info-tag was installed way back when the car was newer? Black market chop-shop retail car? :wink:
