I took a Slant 6 out of my 72 Duster and am putting back a 360 V8. The transmission is an A-904 in both cases. What will I need to hook up the throttle linkage to the V8? Is that a completely different linkage or is some of it salvageable?

The slant six throttle cable is going to be longer, and I think the sleeve on the moving portion of the cable is longer as well, which limits the travel - I think.

I used a slant 6 cable on one of my cars because the intake was taller and I need more length. I cut the sleeve down using a tubing cutter and then removed it with a dremel cut off wheel.

Id get a v8 cable and compare or buy a used or new v8 cable and install it. As far as the kickdown and throttle brackets all that stuff is different.
