Throttle linkage lube?

Evening folks,
Doing some reassembly and I wonder if the various pivot points on the throttle and shift linkages get some type of lube?

Sand would collect in grease.
I wouldn't put anything on them. If it is all clean and assembled properly it should work just fine. Consider the age and previous use when viewing the wear showing now.

Thanks Redfish, I hadn't thought about the sand. I had wondered if the engine heat would gunk up the works though.

If you're not all anal about how it looks, I've found that a bit of 3in1 oil followed by a dash of graphite works wonders and doesn't collect road dirt.
