Throttle return spring shenanigans - help needed

I was pulling my carb off tonight and the throttle return spring (from acc linkage to top of trans) came off, and rolled somewhere between the trans and floor pan. Nowhere to be seen or felt...

This is just a stock slant, Carter BBS, 904 trans. Its the throttle return spring, not the kick-down linkage.

If someone can look at theirs and give me some basic dimensions, coils, I'll see what I can find at the hardware store. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
 
My favorite is when a nut or bolt will fall and land on something like an cv halfshaft and just sit there. How a part can fall and land and stay on something round I will never understand.
