The wife and I were JUST talking about doing this in the garage for both sides/bays.

I think it Northern tool has the set up and hose to hook up. I didn't do my research yet, but I think it's them. Maybe Harbor Freight?

please let me know if you find anything at Northern or Harbor

Just an FYI...
I have seen where guys use roof vents from a building supply store and attach them to the door or wall and use exhaust hose.

Roof exit all the way. Side exits could work but if you do get a wind from that direction it will push the gases back in the garage. Not to mention to properly flow the vent gets help from the wind up top as it does help to draw the gases out and away. I just went though this with my father in law who is the local city building and code inspector and that is what he told me to do. Also when doing this make sure that your vent is 3' above any roof line within 10 feet. That is the code here and i would bet its similar in your state.

I hear what you are saying but what about all the service garages going through their side walls and/or garage doors?

I cant speak for them. If you go out the side you can go up from there pretty easy. I was saying want was told to me. The side exit would work but I dont feel its the best way to do it.

MoparAl sent me this PM;

check EASTWOOD. I bought on from them several yers ago. It is through the door.

And sooooooo, I'mmmmmmm checkin.........

And the site is huge with a billion pages of stuff. So i called them and left a quick description and my number....................................

I made a through the wall exhaust set up in the garage of my old house. I purchased flexible auto exhaust hose through a friend who owned a service station at the time, and I use metal close drier gates to go through the wall. The little doors on the drier gates kept the openings closed when not in use, and opened freely when in use.

I used two 10 foot lengths of hose, and two metal drier gates. The system served me for about 20 years.

Hope this helps.

Mine is through the door I brought the door pieces and hose home from work when they went to overhead suction system and replaced the garage doors.

Well, Eastwood got back to me and they no longer sell the kit, but, he did give a tip on making my own. Preety much what has been describe above.

He mentioned dryer vents and thick rubber flexable tubing.

Thank You!

I did. Good info came up. I always try to search for stuff I think of, on the net. Sometimes it's hard to think of what words to use. I would've never thought of using "crush proof hose", but it works.

You Are Gold...

Just stick the exhaust pipe to one of these and all will be well.

I have an exhaust fan in the roof but at $9 dollars a gallon for race gas Im gonna inhale every fume I can get.

I put 4 inch abs pipe in the floor. Ran it to outside blower motor from a furnace. Then plumbed it to exhaust hood for painting etc. Make up air behind furnace. No fumes and keeps the exhaust hoses cool when she's reved up. Can run two cars with duels with doors closed no problem.

I'd put two or one pet doors in the door. Holes in doors are easy to replace, holes in walls not so much.
