I just put cooper cobra 245/60 15's on the rear of my Shelby Dakota and 225/70's up front. Should have gone with a 215 on the front, but that's another story. LOL. Ordered from either Tire Rack or Simple Tire.
Look somewhere else. Copper cobras all over in many 15” sizes. May have to mail order them. Walmart has a good price.

My concern with mail order is knowing what the date of manufacture is. I have brand new tires on my car now that have spent almost 20 years in the Florida Sun and do not want to buy 5-year-old tires. Whatever the mail order places have they aren't new because Cooper no longer makes 15 in. I don't want to replace old tires with old tires, see what I mean?
Where did you see that Cooper no longer makes 15 inch tires? I just went to their website and they list at least 10 different sizes in 15" tires. I couldn't find anything online that states that Cooper discontinued all their 15" tires.

What are the sizes and types of tires are you shopping for.
Michelin doesn't make a classic RWL tire in any size or profile.
Most common RWL tires are the Cooper Cobra, Mickey Thompson Street S/T ( made by Cooper Tire), BF Goodrich T/A.
A few sizes of larger 15" Firestone-Firehawk Indy 500.
Only recent changes by Cooper Tire was that Goodyear Tire acquired them last year.

Why that size ? Was common about 30 + years ago. 80's mid-sized cars.

235s on the front now interfere with edco sway bars
You never said what car or wheel type/backspace you are running.
That is common on these sites. We don't get the details about the question until later after many posts.
Sometimes the tire choice just isn't correct for the owners application as the older cars came with narrower ims and factory backspacing that pushed the tires into the fender wells, not out.
If you use aftermarket wheels they will be a compromise on back space.
They usually make one mold and just drill the bolt pattern to fit the application.
But all car manufacturers do not design the clearance in the fender wells the same. Chevrolet is the best example of this.
The Corvette used a wheel with a lot of positive offset ( rim pulled into the fender opening ). This allowed A 15 X 7 and 15 X 8" rim to fit under the fender lips af any Chevy that had a 15 " OE tire.
Mopar didn't do that.
The cars that have the most problems with wheel/tire clearance are the A-body.
Front track wider than the rear.

Looking for front tires for a 1963 Dodge model 440 B body using police rims. P235 will not clear the front sway bar from addco. Not sure if 225s will clear either so I'm looking for 215s
Have you looked at Galaxy Vitour tires?

I've been looking at wheels for my 68. Along with that, one has to consider tires. Tires and sizes I bought 2 and 5 yrs ago for my old cars are no longer available. Frustrating.
I know a lot of guys would prefer good ol American brands like Goodyear, Firestone, etc. But they are not available in classic sizes. I was looking just this morning on Tirerack.com and it's getting even worse, but they have a fair amount of Coopers.
I have Kumho and Falken on my 64 and 68. They are blackwall and it's not really obvious. A guy has to do what a guy has to do.

As you can see by the chart, the original size was very narrow so anything that you are thinking of is many times the original sizing. Rim width and backspace are going to be very critical and you may not fit the tires that you want without modification to the car.
