tire and rim sizing

Hello everyone,i hava a 65 barracuda and want to put new rims and tires on the car.From what i have read ansen sprint 15x7 with a 5x4 bolt pattern is said to fit ,tire sizes im told should be 225/50/15,i would like a larger tire on these rims, is this possible.I would at least like a larger tire on the back wheels.
