Is there a tire height formula to determine the tire height equal to engine, trans, rear gears? I have a 68 Dart and need to buy tires. My combination is a 440 stroked to 540. Indy max wedge heads. a little bigger cam than a 509, topped with Indy's intake holding a 1050 Holley.
A JW trans and a 8 3/4 narrowed with 4:30 Gears. If there's no formula, what is your best opinion.

Here is a simple calculator for rpm at a desired speed based on your rear end gear and desired tire diameter.

Incase you need the tire diameter calculated here is one for that:

The desired tire diameter or height will depend on your usage.......

Also here is a link to many other calculators such as tire height, gear ratio, rpm, mph, 1/8 and 1/4 times etc......

Go to Reilly Motorsports and click on tech info. Thats the best one I've ever used.
