Just looking for some feedback here about whether I should paint my car. I like it kind of rough, because it's like me, kind of rough around the edges. I drag raced it this year for the first time with the Classic Gearjammers of NC, and had the most fun I've ever had. Also, my 4 year old son enjoys working on the race car with me and I don't have to worry about the paint. But I have guys ask me at the races when I'm going to paint it. Your opinion would be appreciated.

I like it as is. The Dart that you can see a part of in my avatar is not being painted. I think your car has a badass look. All go no show. Of course, it helps if it can back up the look with go.

If you have the cash! i say paint it. but if your like me, every time you set some cash aside......you would rather spend it on "go fast" part instead.:D

Weight the paint, calculate it into your E.T. then decide.Paint is weight..............."run what ya brung"

I like it. It makes a statement. Like when you leave the line kinda drift over to the centerline. It lets the other guy know that your not scared to mix it, then he'll back off!

Come up with a race name on the side, and pepper it with old school parts stickers.

is there a specific name for the paint or style of painting for that faded out lettering. i have sen it and i like

Please no Rat Rod Drag Cars your kidding keeping it like that right ..

I have to agree....a semi or flat color will give a nostagia type look. It's just a little too rough right now for my taste. I do agree that some old school lettering would be cool....after it's painted.
