MOunting the flex plate to the torque converter, I had ordered a bolt kit MOPAR (through Year one) and the bolts are way to big diameter to fit the flex plat to the converter. The torque converter has smaler diameter bolt holes which makes me wonder (1) DO I HAVE THE CORRECT CONVERTER OR (2) maybe MOPAR made a mistake and sent the wrong bolts or (3) does a 340 performance engine have a different converter than say a 318 and (4) while I'm at it I have a 72' 340 Duster change over year, with a forged crank. Does this require another torque converter (i.e. weights)

Most common size seen is 5/16" although there are larger for various applications.
The most important thing about those bolts is check the length !
Flex plate thicknesses vary and you dont want the bolts to dimple the converter shell.
This can damage the converter internally.
