Which one keeps the tranny cooler, a deeper pan that will hold two extra quarts. Or oil cooler lines running to radiator cooler? Looking at doing one of those two mods but don’t really don’t want to do both if both aren’t necessay. I don’t have lines radiator or deep pan yet. Just trying to see if I can do one without the other. Two barrel 318/727 basic driver car.

Deep pan Not needed on this combo unless towing. and the pan shown is not actually for cooling
Same for an auxiliary oil-cooler; not needed unless towing.
If towing then should have both but,
still need Factory in-rad cooler for winter, now used as a pre-heater.

>Do NOT run without something in the summer.
>In winter, I have gotten away with a looped line, no cooler of any kind, for 4 winters or more. But that trans takes a long time to warm up, during which it shifts a lil hard. I'm ok with that cuz After I leave the yard, I hit the hiway, and just cruize for 20 minutes, after which, when I get to my destination, she's warm enough.
FWI, I do not run this combo any more, altho I still have it.

He is talking about any cooler. Not an auxiliary cooler.

Yes you need a trans cooler, I like the stock one in the radiator.

That pan doesn't help with cooling
