do you need to take upper ball joint loose to install torsion bars are does it make any differents --does the bars slide all the way back to the clip in trans cross member or all the way forward

The bars can be installed with the ball joints in place, but removal of a stop bumper may be necessary. The bars slide all the way out the back. but can also slide all the way out the front if the k-member is out (maybe just the lower control arms).

one thing i found is to obviously undo the t bar but make sure the adjuster is below flush on the plate... then use a pair of pliers to move the arm tight against the adjuster and the t bar should be loose...

some cars you just cant get away with it and you have to pull the upper stops...

thanks for the information one more question when installeback does the bars stop at the clip in the rear or all the way forward in the k member thanks

it at least has to go far enough forward that you can get the clip in there... more doesn't hurt tho...

It doesn't matter how far the bars are forward as long as the clips go in easily.
