got the dart down to the track today for some test and tune action. the car suprised, and impressed me with its performance. there wasn't alot of people at the track due to Easter and the weather.

Warmed the car up and teched it in. everything OK. up to par. run car over scale and surprise...., the car which i was told weighed 3010 lbs actually weighed in at a whopping 3245lbs. With me in it the weight climbed to 3445. The car having a stock 440 with a 509 cam, and fenderwell headers i was estimating that it would maybe run mid to low 12s. Surprise again... first time out in car and wanted to see what the chasiss would do,(if it go straight or act wild), the car run 11.26 @115.46 mph. WOW!!!
the best run was my second run....

.043 RT
1.504 60 FT
7.031 660 FT
95.78 660 MPH
9.262 1000 FT
11.185 1/4 mile time
116.38 MPH time 12:36pm
temp 38 deg
barom 30.02
humidity 38%
alt 550 FT above sea
wind W20 MPH

was very impressed with the performace of motor and how well the chasiss reacted. have 4.56 gear with 275/60/15 MT ET drag radials. think i'm going to go with a bigger tire and see what she does. hopefully 11.0s

yea get that car to 60 foot in the low 1.40's and you may be in the 10 sec club.

That car 60's very good now ! Very nice runs. Congrats on a good running car. Ron

Nice looking red!!
And nothing is better than an impressed first pass of the year.

Congratulations :toothy7:

Very impressive - what was trap rpm? Was it really 38*F?

the weather channel said it was 38 degrees and the trap rpm was 6700 don't know what the track temp was. blew freezeplug out ended day early

I think your car 60ft's real good, what is your combo.
