I downloaded and tried TrackAddict.
Dont know if it is accurate or not but it is interesting. It has a drag race mode that starts recording when you launch and stops when you hit 1/4 mile or what you set it to.
I went out to a relatively flat long straight road. the road runs almost due east. The app came back with 26.35 s at 70.2 mph for 1/4 mile. I don't know how accurate the app is? The 1 to 2 shift was about 40 mph and the 2-3 shift was just under 70. I had a stumble at about 50 mph (I think it is a fuel starvation due to fuel heat vapor lock issue like i have at hot idle) but it cleared its self. on the return run same road opposite direction at about 50 the engine kicked and bucked and I let off the gas and it recovered but wasn't happy after that.

I thought it was a bit slow too but there is no low end power so i probably lost a lot of time getting up to speed. I might bring someone with me to run a stop watch and watch the spedo. biggest problem is knowing the distance traveled

This chart is from the raw data. I had to mathematically calculate distance as the GPS provides longitude and latitude for every time stamp. left side is time in seconds, bottom is distance in feet. (accumulated deg = "cum deg" and accumulated feet = "cum feet" are my calculations, based on the number of feet per degree of longitude.) approx 0.005 deg change in longatude at my latitude is about 1280 feet

The Barracuda was 14.75 at 1000’ on its 17 second run. That is why I think your 1/4 mile time was no worse than 19.

I'll have to try again and with the Phone mounted properly on the dash. and I'll try to measure out with land marks a 1/4 mile for reference. The first times I just kept going till I topped 70 or the engine argued. I still got to get a fuel pressure gauge on there and see what is going on.

I tried the TrackAddict app this morning on my way to work. My time wasn’t to good but I also had to slow down before the end of 1/4 I had a car pulling out of the rest area and it messed up my time. I’m pretty sure I can get into the 15-16s. My car started to bog down at 4000 Rpms, I’m thinking I need to turn down my throttle screw. I’ll have to try it again. Cool App!!!! :)
