Tranny drain position on 904?

I'm getting tired of dropping the pan on my 904 and having the entire fluid contents find it's way into every orifice on my body. I bought a drain plug kit so I can reduce the volume prior to dropping the pan. Does anyone have a recommendation for drain plug placement on the 904?
